Hallsley Swim Team Dives Into Summer Fun

Hallsley Swim TeamI am excited to think that swim team and summer are just around the corner, 8 weeks away actually. I hope everyone is ready for an exciting swim season. Christine Nevel will be returning as Head Coach. Kasey will also be returning, I just love her enthusiasm and we are working on getting two more coaches. This season, Chesterfield Aquatic League decided to reorganize the teams based on the number of swimmers per team and we are now in Division A. We will be swimming against Salisbury, Chester, Hampton Park, Watermill, Foxcreek and Foxcroft. To answer your question, yes this does mean longer meets, but these teams have been around a long time and know how to conduct a smooth meet. I am hoping that we grow, last season we had 144 swimmers and the neighborhood has added many new families so I am sure we will!

Click HERE to download the registration form and the schedule for the 2017 High Tides Swim Team season. Registration forms are due April 30th! You can drop them off at the clubhouse or my house 15931 Swindon Ct. Our meet and greet is May 1st from 5pm-7pm at the pool. Your swimmer will be able to try on our team suit ($45 for girls suit and $34 for boys suit), meet our returning and new coaches, purchase High Tides swag and dinner (pizza and drinks) will be provided. Swim practice starts on May 15th, check the attached schedule for your swimmers practice time, it depends on their age as of May 31, 2017. The schedule is subject to change. I hope this year to use Shutterfly as my communication method, details to come.

Many of you know that I was a swimmer growing up and that is why I wanted to be part of the start of the swim team in the neighborhood for my kids and for yours. As much as I have enjoyed this position I feel like it is time for someone else to have this very rewarding opportunity next season. To make this transition easy, I would like for this person or persons to work alongside me this season to understand what is involved behind the scenes and during the meets. Please let me know if you are interested.
