Southern Living Comes To Hallsley

SOH Streetscape With Southern Living LogoThe Street of Hope is returning to Hallsley, open daily from October 21 through November 5, with eight never-before-built in Hallsley designer Southern Living furnished dream homes all on one street.

The interior designs in the Southern Living homes include the latest trends in furniture, window treatments, custom finishes, and paint colors. The homes will also feature hundreds of great new interior design ideas for the home – from the newest counter top selections to the hottest designer flooring. With no surprise from the expectation of previous years, this year’s homes feature amazing room themes that capture the lifestyle needs of today’s homeowner.

In addition to touring the homes, the event features a unique shopping experience at the Street of Hope Marketplace including local cuisine from Café Caturra and RVA’s hottest food trucks. Throughout the 16 days, the Street of Hope will also host a Thursday night concert series called “Concerts of Hope” with popular Richmond bands Three Sheets To The Wind and Flat Elvis. Themed weekends will also feature live entertainment, special events, and food, beer, and wine for sale. The last weekend is a tribute to America where guests can purchase homemade Brunswick Stew from the American Legion and Veterans will be admitted free of charge. Ticket cost to tour the homes is $10 for adults and free to children 12 and under are free.

This year, the fund raising goal for the Southern Living Inspired Community Street of Hope in Hallsley has an educational emphasis. Partnership proceeds will directly benefit the charities of the event. In addition, the Southern Living Inspired Community Street of Hope proceeds will fund cancer research grants at VCU Massey Cancer Center and fund a scholarship endowment at the VCU School of Business for underprivileged Richmond area youths. The proceeds will come from a combination of ticket sales, sponsorships, special events, and a Home of Hope.  Admission is $10 for adults and free for children 12 and under. Tickets will be sold online and at the door.
