Hallsley Turkey Trot To Help Food Bank

It’s time to get your running/walking shoes ready for our 1st Annual Hallsley 5K Fun Run/Walk Turkey Trot! Our goal this year is to collect food for FeedMore’s Central Virginia Food Bank which provides hunger relief to counties and cities in our region by acquiring needed food items and distributing it to neighbors in need. Currently 1 in 7 persons in our region is food insecure. As we reflect this Thanksgiving season on our own blessings, please remember those in need. The more people who participate, the greater impact we can have helping FeedMore! This race is not timed so it doesn’t matter if you come in 1st, 50th or 100th! What matters is that you make it to the starting line!

Pets and strollers are welcome but will go after the runners. Please no bikes, scooters, skates, or golf carts. This is a run/walk event.
The After Party
River City Wood Fire Pizza truck will be here in the parking lot firing up your favorite pizzas for purchase all afternoon!  We’ll have some cold beverages on hand as well!   Even if you can’t participate in the Turkey Trot,  come on by up until 4:30pm and get some of their famous wood fire pizza to take home!
Please rsvp to turkeytrot@Hallsley.com by 11/20 with the number in your family that will be attending in order for us to plan appropriately.  When you check in on race day, you will sign a waiver and receive your bib number.

Big thanks goes to Sonja Harris, Christie Kinskie, and the Hallsley Running Group for helping with the organization of this event!  Good luck to all Hallsley runners in the Richmond races tomorrow!
